We met in 2002 working in corporate retail.  Marcie in product development and Paula in textile design.  We became fast friends and have been close ever since.

Early on we both had separate dreams of starting a small business. It wasn’t until many years later that we realized we both shared the same love of home furnishings, textiles, wallpaper, and color. With that a dream was born. We are the perfect balance of each other and saw an opportunity to fulfill our dreams of creating that small business together.

Every step of building this business challenges us to think smarter and fine tune our process to create something we can be proud of and that our clients love. We have had so much fun along the way creating, conceptualizing, and seeing our designs come to life.

ABOUT MARCIE

Marcie is originally from a small town called Walla Walla, Washington, and graduated from Washington State University with a degree in Apparel Merchandising and Textiles. She has 20 years of industry experience in product development, styling, and merchandising.

She is most inspired by watching home interior trends change and evolve. Wallborn Collective allows her to be a part of how people are decorating their homes and find their own version of the latest color and textile trends.

She currently lives in Dallas, Texas with her husband Ryan, her two children Ella and Max, and all of her fur babies! When she’s not developing product for Wallborn Collective she is traveling, spending time with her family, watching Dog Reels on Instagram or sipping on a French 75.

ABOUT PAULA

Paula is originally from Dearborn Heights, Michigan… a suburb just outside of Detroit. She graduated with a degree in Textile Design from FIDM Los Angeles. That was where her love of textiles, color and print design had only just begun.

With over 20 years of design experience she has learned to to hone in on what inspires her the most drawing inspiration from nature, color and architecture. She enjoys to take a closer look at the structure of things and translate that into modern, fun, hand drawn art. Where simple shapes and beautiful colors come together to make intricate designs.

She currently lives in Allen, Texas with her husband Steve, daughter Kenzie, son Mason and also the sweetest doodle named Izzy. When she is not designing for Wallborn Collective you can find her on a soccer field cheering on her kids, traveling to far off places with family, or laughing with friends over a shared bottle of something good.
